Apolipoprotein E (Apoe) gene knockout model is the primary animal model for testing the efficacy of anti-atherosclerosis drugs. ApoE is the main lipoprotein in plasma. Feeding ApoE knockout mice with high-fat diet can accelerate the process of atherosclerosis.
Mechanism: ApoE is the main lipoprotein in plasma. Feeding ApoE knockout mice with high-fat diet can accelerate the process of atherosclerosis
Strain Background: Apoe knockout mice with C57BL/6 strain background
Body weight: About 20g
Experimental Groups: Mice are divided into 5 experimental groups-model control group, positive control group, low-dose group, medium-dose group and high-dose groups.
Detection Items: Body weight, food intake, serum biochemical test or ELISA test, morphology of aortic arch pathology (Arterial Tissues H&E staining, oil red, measure the area proportion of plaque in artery intima and Cross Section)
